NAAS TRACTOR AUCTION

The next Ganly Craigie machinery auction takes place near Naas, Co Kildare, this Thursday.

Kicking off at noon, the sale will include an array of trucks and construction equipment, but tractors will also figure.

Catalogue entries include a selection of fresh John Deere and New Holland tractors, alongside a big selection of telescopic handlers.

There will even be several self-loading silage wagons on offer.

Those seeking quads, ATVS and 4×4s will also have a selection to choose from.

In total, there are more than 450 lots on offer (though this may have increased since going to print).

Returning to tractors, there's a 1997-reg Valmet 8050 with 7,900 hours.

MF fans might take a punt on a 1998-reg 6170, with 6,500 hours under its proverbial belt. How about a larger, older 3655 showing 8,400 hours? Or take a chance on a 10-year-old Same Silver 100.6 with 5,500 hours. McCormick folk might well head in favour of a CX90 (complete with loader) showing 6,300 hours.

New Holland entries include a 2004-reg (UK import) TM190 with just 2,700 hours and a smaller 2000-reg TM125 with even fewer hours notched up.

Ford-badged offerings include a 1986-reg 7610 (5,500 hours) and a sought-after 7810 (Generation III) — the latter showing 10,600 hours.

Fancy a Fiat? There's an ageing 780DT going under the hammer, too.

The French are also represented — a Renault 106-54TL is on offer. It has just shy of 6,000 hours on its odometer. A John Deere 3040 also figures, but it has seen more use as its odometer shows some 14,400 hours. Cheap horsepower is also promised in the form of an old Landini 10,000. Apparently, it has less than 3,400 hours clocked.
